Netflix Is A Joke
Seinfeld. Chappelle. Degeneres. Rock. All of these A-List comedians had specials coming to Netflix, and we wanted to plant a flag: Netflix is the new home of A-List stand-up comedy.
So, the provocative NETFLIX IS A JOKE campaign was born. We launched a group of cryptic billboards that instantly sparked widespread speculation. Then, a broadcast TV campaign during the Emmys let everyone in on the joke and connected the comedians to our larger originals slate.
The campaign was such a success that Netflix adopted NETFLIX IS A JOKE as its comedy brand platform and continues to use it across social, editorial and events.
